Episode 1 hits with the classic isekai setup: 30-something shut-in dies, wakes up as a baby (Rudeus) with full memories intact. Super interesting concept—he’s a grown man’s mind in a kid’s body, learning magic, language, everything from scratch. But yeah… he kinda brought his gooner energy to childhood 😅 Says weird stuff, peeps on parents getting freaky while reading magic books—very unnecessary, but the show has BALLS for just going there.

Thoughts: The protagonist’s a bit creepy at first (mentally 30 in a 3-4 year old body? Yikes), but the reincarnation perks are cool—silent casting magic (no incantations needed? Gifted or just visualization skills?), breaking gender norms (dad wants him sword-fighting like a “real man,” but he’s mage path), and the world-building feels solid. Surprised they didn’t dwell more on the frustration of baby physical limits—crawling, learning to walk again with adult brain? That’d suck!

Not gonna lie, I can see why some hate it (freaky dynamics, shock value), but for Ep 1? It was fine—interesting, entertaining, didn’t offend me. Had a good time watching! Curious if the controversy ramps up…
