RTTV reacts to Gintama Episodes 23 (“The Most Exciting Part of a Group Date is Before it Starts”) & 24 (“You Always Remember the Things that Matter the Least”)! We kick off with Gintoki’s new “love interest” Sachiko—the ninja/assassin who literally crashes through the wall for him (fell for him, get it?). Angel pickup line energy, but she attacks anyway—classic Gintama chaos.

Episode 23 is pure comedy gold: the family skit goes off the rails with the “mom and dad” role reversal (he doubles up on Father’s Day and Mother’s Day—two presents!). Out-of-pocket, random, and hilarious. This show’s comedy hits different—funniest anime we’ve reacted to so far. They roast the characters hard but still show they’re pure-hearted underneath.

Then Episode 24 shifts gears: Sakamoto returns! Starts as a drunkard, but he’s actually holding it down with a whole fleet rallying behind him. Same aura as Gintoki—people gravitate to these old samurai types. Katsura’s still locked in on saving his “samurai” too. Can’t wait for more Gintoki past flashbacks—why he carries a wooden sword, only fights for real causes, the Joui War vibes. Deep lore incoming!
